Farmers living in Poverty

COFFEE FARMERS IN EAST AFRICA OFTEN FACE EXTREME DIFFICULTIES MAKING ENDS MEET. ESSENTIAL BILLS SUCH AS SCHOOL FEES FOR CHILDREN ARE AT TIMES VERY DIFFICULT TO COVER. THE KEY REASON FOR THIS SITUATION IS THE SHAMEFULLY LOW PRICE COFFEE FARMERS RECEIVE FOR THEIR COFFEE BEANS. (MAYBE INSERT CHART OF HISTORICAL COFFEE PRICE TO ILLUSTRATE)

Insecure Livelihoods for the youth.

WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE STREETS OF KAMPALA, YOU WILL FIND THAT MOST YOUNG PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE A STABLE JOB. THIS RESULTS IN INSECURE INCOME AS WELL AS A LACK OF OPPORTUNITY FOR A BETTER FUTURE. POTENTIALLY ADD GRAPH TO ILLUSTRATE.

Structural inequality in the coffee industry.

MOST OF THE MONEY MADE IN THE COFFEE INDUSTRY STAYS IN THE RICH WORLD, THAT HAS NOT CHANGED SINCE COLONIAL TIMES.
